We offer the shortest, quickest, and most cost-effective pathway for students to practice medicine in the USA and Canada.

Students can obtain their MD degree in only 5 years after high school, compared to the 8–9 years typically required in the US/Canada. Additionally, the MCAT, NEET, and English proficiency tests are not strict prerequisites for admission.

The cost is roughly ⅓ to ½ the price of private medical education in the US (which ranges from $200,000 to $500,000 USD). Canada does not have private medical schools.

Aureus programs are structured to ensure all students receive two years of hands-on training in hospitals in the US or Canada.

Our fee structure is comparable to mid-level Caribbean schools. Top-tier schools charge over $350,000 USD, while lower-tier schools charge less than $100,000 USD.

Aureus offers a 4-Year MD program for students who already hold an undergraduate degree and a 5-Year MD program for high school graduates, which includes integrated pre-medical coursework.

The MCAT is not strictly mandatory. We use a holistic review process considering GPA, letters of recommendation, and a personal interview. However, a strong MCAT score can strengthen an application.

Applicants typically need 90 undergraduate credit hours, including one year each of Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Physics and English are highly recommended.

All instruction, textbooks, and clinical activities are conducted entirely in English.

English language proficiency is required, but specific tests like IELTS or TOEFL are not mandatory.

You will need official transcripts, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a completed online application form.

We have three intakes per year: January, May, and September. A decision is typically rendered within 2 to 3 weeks of a complete application submission.

Transfer applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. You must be in good standing at your previous institution and provide a Dean's Letter and official transcripts for credit evaluation.

Yes, Aureus is chartered by the Government of Aruba, recognized by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).

Aureus is currently applying for CAAM-HP and renewing its ACCM accreditation. Importantly, with ECFMG recognition, our IMG graduates are eligible to sit for the USMLE step exams, just like all other IMGs.

Students typically complete their core clinical rotations in the United States (primarily Chicago/Baltimore) or the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Canada.

After five semesters of Basic Sciences in Aruba, students must pass an exit exam. The Clinical Department then assists with placement in affiliated hospitals in the US or Canada.

USMLE Step 1 is not absolutely mandatory but is desirable.

The curriculum integrates USMLE-style questioning, and students use NBME (National Board of Medical Examiners) shelf exams to assess their readiness for Step 1 and Step 2.

Yes. Aureus is recognized by the Medical Council of Canada (MCC), allowing students to sit for the MCCQE exams and apply for residency through the CaRMS (Canadian Resident Matching Service) process. USMLE certification is also valid for practice in Canada.

Basic Sciences tuition is approximately $9,795 to $10,795 per semester. Clinical Sciences are approximately $12,745 per semester. Pre-med semesters are roughly $6,300.

Yes, Aureus offers various merit-based scholarships and grants. Early application is encouraged to be considered for these awards based on academic history.
